This is the Grand Tour.... The route chosen for this tour
will include some of the most spectacular scenery in Europe. EXPERIENCE YOUR DREAM Heading off from Calais you start your journey South using mostly motorways. Your first evening stop is in the town of Dijon famed the World over for its mustard, here you can enjoy the cafe's and bars in the town centre. Continuing South on motorways for some of the time and fantastic A-Roads you enjoy the fabulous views of the foothills of the Alpes and Switzerland where you spend the second night of your adventure. Day three see's you sweeping through the Swiss Alpes and onwards via Ferry into Italy, yes you've made Italy. You now head further South-East using the motorway that cuts across the North of Italy. You have ridden some of the best roads Europe can offer and this is a great way to reward yourself. But you haven't finished yet, after a leisurely 3 night stop in a seaside hotel on the Adriatic coast of Italy, and day trips to San Marino, you're on the road again. You're heading West to the Mediterranean Coast and a delightful seaside town where we spend another relaxing 3 nights, a delight after the A-roads that have seen you cross Italy. But you still have some fantastic roads to ride such as the SP1 that unravels itself around the coastline of Northern Italy. Staying at a small French town, close to Cannes and Nice, for 3 more nights, with a day trip to Monte Carlo and a coffee at the harbour side cafe and another trip to the Verdon Gorge. Your thoughts now turn for home, you'll be riding one of the best roads you have ever ridden. On your way home you stop at the lovely village of Corps and you can also enjoy that European cafe culture while stopping in the exciting city of Troyes. A fitting end to what we are sure you'll agree is The Grand Tour. |
