My bike doesn't have a great range will I be able to get petrol?

  • Petrol is readily available along the whole route on all tours. The longest distance between fill up's will be around 80 miles.

  • In Italy the petrol stations tend to be similar to those you're used to in the UK. A great number of them have small shops and coffee is also available.

  • At some stations they have self serve pump these pumps are also used during quiet hours and on Sundays. See below for details

A self serve pump in Italy. There isn't an English translation of the instructions. This payment machine is separate from the pumps.

The payment machine has numbered buttons which relate to the numbered pumps. Select the pump checking first it dispenses the fuel type you require.

The payment machine accepts €5, €10, €20 and €50 notes up to a maximum of €200. We have found that €20 fills an emptying tank.

From the pump you selected at the pay station select the nozzle for the grade of fuel you require. The pump will stop when the amount of fuel paid for has been dispensed.
