How much money will I need and which currencies shall I take? / Are credit/debit cards accepted on the continent?

• All the countries we travel through use the Euro as it's currency.

• Major credit cards can be used through out Europe.

• Only French credit/debit cards can be used in unmanned French petrol stations. If you need to stop for petrol then use a manned petrol station.

• ATM machines are available widely and will accept all major credit/debit cards giving funds in Euros. This method is generally cheaper than using a bureau de change because of the rate of exchange.
